Fundamental, pilot and applied scientific studies are carried out at the Institute in the following directions:
- Studies of the basic properties and reactivity of solids, mechanisms of solid-phase transformations and transport processes in solids;
- Investigation of the processes participated by solids under high pressure and temperature, combustion and explosion;
- Investigation of fast processes using the methods based on the synchrotron radiation;
- Mechanochemistry of inorganic and organic substances, mineral and renewable raw materials;
- Electrochemistry of heterogeneous systems;
- Chemical materials science. Design and modification of the structures of solids and materials, biologically active and pharmaceutical substances. Chemistry of nano-objects and nanocomposites.
